Stay in the loop

To help prevent further spread of COVID-19, our constituency office will be closed to walk-in visits until April 6th. Our office will be fully operational and our staff available, however our services will only be offered over the phone at 905-628-2755 and online (email: sshaw-co@ndp.on.ca).

As always my office is here to help.

COVID-19 Information

As the Official Opposition, my caucus colleagues and I have been working to ensure that the provincial government is communicating with Ontarians about emergency preparedness planning related to COVID-19. Specifically, we have been asking about contingency plans for public services, hospitals, workers and businesses.

The Leader of the Opposition met with Premier Ford and other party leaders on March 11 for an update on the province’s response, and has called for the provincial government to release details of their plans with Ontarians.

We have also been advocating for stronger protections for workers by calling for the government to reinstate paid sick leave and to halt the requirement of sick notes.
